How astrocartography works

Your birth chart is fixed in time but could have been cast from anywhere on Earth. Astrocartography traces where each planet would have been on the four angles—rising, setting, culminating, or at the nadir—at that same instant. Standing on a line today does not rewind the clock; it marks places where that planet's themes were angular when you were born, often used for relocation and travel planning.

How to read the lines

MC and IC lines run north–south (meridians): MC is where the planet was at the top of the sky, IC at the bottom. ASC and DSC curves show where the planet was rising or setting. Thicker color keys match planets. Toggle planets or angles to reduce clutter. Near a line is more important than exact GPS precision—most astrologers use a wide orb on the ground.

Astrocartography FAQ

Do I need my birth time?
Yes. Lines are built from the Ascendant and Midheaven, which need an exact birth time and place.
Is this a relocation chart?
It is a map of angular lines at your birth instant, not a relocated natal chart for living somewhere today. Use it alongside a birth chart or solar return for context.
Which planets are included?
Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. You can toggle each planet and each angle type.
How accurate is the map?
Lines use Swiss Ephemeris with Placidus angles—the same engine as our birth chart calculator. The simplified world outline is for orientation; line geometry is what matters.
